Too many times these days people go out of their way to complain and yet fail to take a moment to commend when opportunity arises. My wife and I try to never forget that so please accept our sincere ‘thank you ~ job well-done’. This past week our 11-month checklist process was addressed and (it should be noted happily that the list was very short and manageable) it was completed with accuracy and professionalism. Your selection of Stephen as Essex in-home warranty coordinator was tremendous. He was thorough, understanding, hard-working and truly reviewed our home’s needs as if it was his own home. Fantastic. Not enough positive things can be said about the team that came in to do our touch ups, Lynn and Charlie. They certainly know their craft and take pride in their work. All the while Stephen rolled up his sleeves and perfectly addressed a few items as well. When the home was completed and they went on their way, everything looked perfect and showed no trace of all the hard work that they had done. Great teamwork all around. So officially, we are ‘home’. Thanks to the fine work of everyone on the scene and behind the scene. It is a pleasure to work with Macy Long, Gwen in design, Alice in warranty and Frank Berry in land management. As we stated before, if we needed to turn back the clock and go through the home-building process all over again, we certainly would select Essex.
Essex Homes has been exceptionally accommodating. The workmanship that Essex Homes puts into their design reflects freshness and sophistication that any age group can appreciate. We are proud homeowners and are pleased to be associated with Essex Homes.
Our Essex Home is exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to down size into a one story home with the elegance of our larger home. Woodside Farms gives us gracious country living with all the amenities of Lexington close at hand.
Planning a wedding and building a new home was a challenge but Essex Homes made it easy. We started our new life together in our beautiful new home.
I have been very pleased with the house. The neighbors are great and friendly. Lots of kids for my son to play with.
We enjoy living in Woodside Farm because the community has a quiet country feeling, but is centrally located to downtown. The staff at Woodside Farm and at the Essex's Design Center were all great to work with and very helpful.
We have been so pleased with the quality of our home. We tell all our friends about what a pleasant experience during the whole process from contract to closing. The community is beautiful and friendly.
Our experience purchasing a new home with Essex and realtor Stephanie Berquist was one we will never forget. In less than two months notice we were notified our family would be relocating to Lexington, SC and we were truly at a loss when it came to real estate in the area. Stephanie treated us with such warmth and grace and was ever so patient as we asked numerous questions day in and day out. We were guided in the right direction every which way, from house size, design, lenders, school systems to location. The majority of our house shopping was accomplished long distance and done virtually, Stephanie could not have been more accommodating. The entire process was truly seamless and we could not be more thankful. We have recommended Essex homes to our family members and would recommend working with Stephanie to anyone looking for an easy and positive experience during what can be a very stressful time!
Thank you so much for everything!
Can we say 'get in your head'? After months of searching for the right house for our family we were guided to Adam Rickard at Persimmon Hill since he had sold my parents an Essex home that was, at that time, being built. Although our family each wanted certain items to be in our new home, we never quite could find that perfect home that filled everyone's list. We had a contract on our home that was being sold, and we were down to the wire to find something. I walked in to Adam's office at Persimmon Hill and asked about a home within that subdivision to be told that what we needed he did not have....BUT.....in another Essex subdivision a mile down the road he had a few homes already built that were ready to be moved in to. The 1st home he showed was his "back-up" home that may work, but he wanted to show that one prior to the one he thought would work for us. While we did like most of the 1st home he showed us, by the time we got to the 2nd one after seeing it I had a smile ear to ear and actually said the "L" word! This was the one for us, we visited one more time with family for their opinions, but we knew this was the one for us. We signed the papers that day, moved in last summer (2015) and have loved the neighborhood, neighbors, and of course our home! We already have plans to downsize for retirement and have decided that Essex is the way for us! I hope Adam is around to sell us another one then, he was a great person to deal with and we would love to have him help us again.
