More than 13,000 visitors attended this year’s 49th Annual Carolina Classic Home & Garden Show from March 13 to 15 in Columbia, South Carolina. During this event, Essex Homes showcased an exhibit “house” that demonstrated the eBuilt technology that is now built into every Essex home.
The house display featured a three-walled “home” highlighting many eBuilt technology components including a tankless water heater, blower door, window display, insulation and advanced framing techniques. The eBuilt homes are designed to accomplish three specific goals:
- Reduce the home’s energy consumption
- Reduce environmental impact during and after construction
- Help homeowners save money on utility bills.
Essex homeowners are raving about eBuilt technology. “Our home is extremely energy efficient. The heating, electric and gas bills are unbelievably low. We are very pleased with how the house was built to be energy efficient, as well as being affordable and livable,” states a happy Essex home owner.
Additionally, the Home and Garden Show had some special events that made the event more memorable such as a surprise visit from a Lucile Ball impersonator, thousands of dollars worth of giveaways, grilling demonstrations, gardening seminars, real estate seminars, a game-truck for kids, senior expo, senior panel discussions and more!
Hosted by the Building Industry Association of Central South Carolina (BIA), the Home and Garden show featured more than 250 exhibitors in all areas of homebuilding, remodeling and gardening. This event was a great way for people to get inspiration for home renovation projects. Whether that project is creating a garden oasis in the backyard, remodeling the family room or anything in between, this event had inspiration everywhere you turned.
