Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. was started in 1993. Since 2000 we have grown about 40% per year. Most of this growth has occurred in the move up single family housing market. Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. is proud to announce, that we are actively developing patio homes, attached homes, and other starter home product lines in our continued phase of growth. The patio home line began construction in February 2006 and the starter home product began construction in July 2006. The attached product will be released in 2007. The starter home product will be built under the company name “Premier Homes” (See affiliates).

Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. has recently moved into a new office facility which houses a design center that contains about 3000 square feet. Here our clients meet with our decorators and see the products they are buying for their home. This facility is currently in the construction phase; even so, this is still a great way for our clients to see their product selections for their new home.

Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. is located in Lexington, South Carolina. Building approximately 350 plus homes per year, Essex is locally owned and managed by Karl Haslinger. The homes it builds range from starter homes to homes as large as 4000 square feet of heated area. Most homes are built to sell in the $150,000 to $400,000 price range. Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. builds new homes in Columbia, Lexington, Blythewood, Irmo, and Elgin, South Carolina.

Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. started years ago as a custom building company. Some of that heritage still remains, and is seen in the large number of options and floor plans offered; including the quality and manner our homes are constructed.

Over time Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. has evolved into a much higher volume builder. This was due to the high demand for homes Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. builds, and by the drive to incorporate economies of scale into the building process. Three facts attest to our growth and success:

First, the fact that eighty percent of all new homes Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. starts are pre-sold, shows the demand for our homes.
Second, that Essex Homes Southeast, Inc. has the highest sales volume of any builder in Columbia, SC; shows the value of our homes.
